Unfinished

There is a project on my table that I still have to finish.

There is a goal I have this year that I still have to achieve.

There is a note I want to write.

There is a painting I started that I have to finish.

Just do it.

This painting is the manifestation of all projects unfinished, goals not reached and tasks put aside halfway through. Every time I see it, I want to take a brush and paint that small white corner red. It bothers me. It nudges me. It is my motivation to work and create.

Created using acrylics on 60 x 50 cm canvas.

Limited edition signed and numbered art prints are available. Please, contact me for details.

Shikata Ga Nai

My thoughts and emotions in one place after a long draining conversation not being able to sleep, part of me still thinking about the delusive options I did not have. This painting was the remedy.

Shikata ga nai (仕方がない) is Japanese roughly translated to “it cannot be helped” or “nothing can be done about it”.

Created using oil on 40 x 50 cm canvas.

Limited edition signed and numbered art prints are available. Please, contact me for details.

WIND OF THOUGHTS

Wind of Thoughts is an oil portrait of a woman with white eyes. This painting depicts my mind before an important decision. It starts with a chaotic wind. The moment I decide, my mind calms like when it is immersed in water, floating weightlessly around my head, listening to the sounds of silence.

Created using oil on 30 x 20 cm canvas.
